Explorer 35 (AIMP-E or AIMP-6) was a dedicated lunar-orbit mission studying interplanetary space, the solar wind, the interplanetary magnetic field, dust near the Moon, the lunar gravitational field, the lunar ionosphere, and the radiation environment. NASA reports six years of successful operation, lunar-orbit science discoveries, shutdown on 1973-06-24, and a later lunar impact.
