Galactic 07 was Virgin Galactic’s June 8, 2024 suborbital research and private-astronaut flight from Spaceport America, and VSS Unity’s final commercial flight. The spaceplane carried Turkish research astronaut Tuva Cihangir Atasever and three private participants, with Nicola Pecile and Jameel Janjua as pilots. Virgin Galactic reported a 54.4-mile apogee. Atasever’s Turkish Astronaut and Science Mission work included brain and physiological monitoring, radiation dosimetry and an insulin-pen experiment, alongside four ground-based investigations of responses to the flight. Two autonomous NASA Flight Opportunities payloads studied propellant slosh and microgravity 3D printing. The flight completed with Unity’s runway landing after roughly seventy minutes from carrier-aircraft takeoff.
