Gemini 12

Gemini 12 was the tenth and final crewed flight of NASA's Gemini program. Launched from Cape Canaveral's Launch Complex 19 on November 11, 1966, the mission carried James A. Lovell Jr. as command pilot and Edwin E. "Buzz" Aldrin Jr. as pilot. Gemini 12 rendezvoused and docked with an Agena target vehicle, supported experiments and photography, and demonstrated more controlled EVA techniques after earlier Gemini spacewalks had revealed workload and restraint problems. Aldrin completed two stand-up EVAs and one outside-the-spacecraft EVA, while Lovell commanded the spacecraft through rendezvous, docking, stationkeeping, and reentry. The mission splashed down on November 15, 1966, after meeting most of its primary objectives and closing the Gemini program's bridge to Apollo.
