GOSAT (IBUKI)
GOSAT (Greenhouse gases Observing SATellite), nicknamed IBUKI, is an active JAXA-led Earth-observation mission launched on 23 January 2009. It monitors atmospheric carbon dioxide and methane globally, estimates regional greenhouse-gas sources and sinks, verifies emissions reductions, and advances greenhouse-gas observation technology.
