Launch Site
Outcome
GSLV-D2 successfully placed GSAT-2 into a 180-by-36,000-kilometre geosynchronous transfer orbit. The spacecraft subsequently operated from geostationary orbit at 48 degrees east for communications experiments and space-environment observations.
