Hakucho
Hakucho was the first Japanese X-ray astronomy mission, launched as CORSA-B on 21 February 1979 into low Earth orbit. It surveyed and monitored X-ray sources, discovered new burst sources including Cen X-4 and Aql X-1, and observed rapid variability in the Rapid Burster.
