İMECE Earth Observation Mission

The İMECE mission establishes domestic sub-metre Earth-observation capability and validates the spacecraft subsystems required for high-resolution imaging. TÜBİTAK UZAY’s objectives include national infrastructure, system-design experience, industrial collaboration and flight heritage for onboard equipment. Launched on April 15, 2023, the spacecraft observes Earth using panchromatic and four-band visible/near-infrared imaging from roughly 680 km altitude. It flies the TstarL-100 platform with domestic power, data-handling, attitude-control and communications equipment. İMECE is the original operational satellite; the İMECE-2 and İMECE-3 constellation-development projects have separate spacecraft and schedules.
