Long, looping polar orbit around Jupiter, diving to approximately 3,500 km above the cloud tops and extending beyond Callisto’s orbit, for studying Jupiter’s origin, interior, atmosphere, magnetic field, aurorae, and moons

Outcome
Juno entered Jupiter orbit in 2016 and has returned sustained observations that refine knowledge of Jupiter's interior, atmosphere, magnetic field, aurorae, and polar environment. NASA's current mission pages continue to present Juno as an active science mission.
