Mir EO-14 was the fourteenth resident expedition to the Mir space station. Vasili Tsibliyev and Aleksandr Serebrov launched on Soyuz TM-17 on July 1, 1993 with French research cosmonaut Jean-Pierre Haignere, docked with Mir on July 3, and began resident operations after the visiting Altair program and station handovers. The mission overlapped with Mir EO-13 and EO-15 crews and was later extended, keeping Tsibliyev and Serebrov aboard for more than 196 days. Their work included station maintenance, scientific operations, and a series of EVAs around Mir's external systems before both cosmonauts returned safely on Soyuz TM-17 in January 1994.
