Nigeria EduSat-1 Mission
Nigeria EduSat-1 was a NASRDA–Federal University of Technology Akure technology-demonstration mission within Kyutech’s BIRDS-1 project. Its objectives centred on practical satellite design and manufacturing capability, supported by a Nigerian ground station built at NASRDA headquarters in Abuja. Independent orbital operations began after Kibo deployment on July 7, 2017. The programme’s orbital-decay analysis estimated reentry on May 13, 2019.
