ORBCOMM-2 was the second and final launch of ORBCOMM’s second-generation OG2 satellite deployment campaign. A SpaceX Falcon 9 launched eleven OG2 communications satellites from Cape Canaveral SLC-40 at 8:29 p.m. EST on December 21, 2015 and deployed all eleven into low Earth orbit. Booster B1019 then returned to Landing Zone 1, completing the first successful landing of an orbital-class rocket first stage.
