RLV-LEX autonomous landing demonstration campaign

ISRO’s LEX campaign demonstrated the terminal approach and runway landing of a reusable winged vehicle through three helicopter-release tests at Chitradurga. LEX-01 on 2 April 2023 established autonomous high-speed landing. LEX-02 on 22 March 2024 added off-nominal release conditions, while LEX-03 on 23 June 2024 expanded cross-range and wind challenges. Reuse of the same flight hardware across the series demonstrated repeatable recovery and flight-system robustness.
