SCISAT-1 is a Canadian atmospheric-science satellite operated by the Canadian Space Agency with NASA collaboration. Its Atmospheric Chemistry Experiment uses solar occultation spectroscopy, together with the MAESTRO ultraviolet-visible instrument, to measure ozone and many related trace gases and to investigate the chemistry controlling the ozone layer, especially over Canada and the Arctic.
