Shenzhou 13

Shenzhou 13 was China's second crewed construction-stage mission to the Tiangong space station and the first Chinese crewed mission planned for about six months. The spacecraft launched from Jiuquan on October 16, 2021 Beijing Time with commander Zhai Zhigang, astronaut Wang Yaping, and astronaut Ye Guangfu, then docked with the Tianhe core module and the attached Tianzhou cargo vehicles. During the expedition, the crew lived aboard Tianhe, operated the robotic arm, handled module-transfer and cargo tasks, continued long-duration life-support validation, and delivered the first Tiangong Class from China's space station. Zhai and Wang completed the mission's first EVA in November 2021, making Wang the first Chinese woman to perform a spacewalk, and Zhai and Ye completed a second EVA in December. The Shenzhou 13 return capsule landed at Dongfeng on April 16, 2022, with CMSA reporting the crew in good health and the mission complete.
