Shenzhou 2
Shenzhou 2 was China’s first formal unmanned spacecraft and the second flight test under the China Manned Space Program. Launched in January 2001 aboard Long March 2F from Jiuquan, it examined the integrated engineering and system design, completed nearly seven days of orbital operations, and performed space-life, materials, astronomy, and physics experiments that supported later crewed flight.
