Shenzhou 4 was China’s third formal unmanned spacecraft flight test under the China Manned Space Program. Launched in December 2002 aboard Long March 2F from Jiuquan, it validated spacecraft systems, orbital operations, tracking and control, and space-science tests while preparing the program for crewed flight.

- Shenzhou 4 was China’s third formal unmanned spacecraft flight test under the China Manned Space Program.
