Soyuz 36 was the Hungarian Intercosmos visiting mission to Salyut 6. Valeriy Kubasov commanded the Soyuz 7K-T spacecraft with Bertalan Farkas as research cosmonaut, launching from Baikonur on May 26, 1980 and docking with Salyut 6 the next day. The crew worked with the resident station crew on a Hungarian-supported research programme before returning to Earth on Soyuz 35 on June 3 after nearly eight days in orbit.
