Soyuz MS-12 launched from Baikonur Site 1/5 on March 14, 2019 UTC with Roscosmos commander Aleksey Ovchinin and NASA flight engineers Nick Hague and Christina Koch. The spacecraft docked with the International Space Station's Rassvet module early on March 15 UTC, bringing the launch crew into Expedition 59 and beginning a long-duration stay that extended into Expedition 60 for Ovchinin and Hague. Koch remained aboard after Soyuz MS-12's departure and later returned on Soyuz MS-13. Soyuz MS-12 undocked and landed on October 3, 2019 with Ovchinin, Hague, and UAE visiting astronaut Hazza Al Mansoori, who had launched separately on Soyuz MS-15.
