Soyuz MS-18 launched from Baikonur Site 31/6 on April 9, 2021 UTC with Roscosmos commander Oleg Novitsky, Roscosmos flight engineer Pyotr Dubrov, and NASA flight engineer Mark Vande Hei. The spacecraft docked with the International Space Station the same day and supported Expeditions 64 and 65 during a busy Russian-segment assembly period. Dubrov and Vande Hei remained aboard for a longer mission and returned on Soyuz MS-19 in 2022; Soyuz MS-18 landed on October 17, 2021 with Novitsky and the Soyuz MS-19 visiting crew.
