Soyuz MS-19 launched from Baikonur Site 31/6 on October 5, 2021 UTC with Roscosmos commander Anton Shkaplerov and Russian film-project participants Klim Shipenko and Yulia Peresild. The spacecraft docked with the International Space Station the same day after a short rendezvous. Shipenko and Peresild filmed segments for the movie project Challenge and returned on Soyuz MS-18, while Shkaplerov stayed aboard for Expeditions 65 and 66 and later commanded the station. Soyuz MS-19 returned to Earth on March 30, 2022 with Shkaplerov, Roscosmos cosmonaut Pyotr Dubrov, and NASA astronaut Mark Vande Hei.
