Soyuz MS-26

Soyuz MS-26 was a Russian crewed Soyuz mission to the International Space Station. The spacecraft launched from Baikonur on September 11, 2024 with Roscosmos commander Aleksey Ovchinin, Roscosmos flight engineer Ivan Vagner, and NASA astronaut Donald Pettit, then docked to the station's Rassvet module later the same day. The crew joined Expedition 71 and continued into Expedition 72. NASA's return advisory reported that Pettit, Ovchinin, and Vagner would undock from Rassvet on April 19, 2025 Eastern time and land on the steppe of Kazakhstan at 9:20 p.m. EDT, corresponding to April 20 in UTC and Kazakhstan local date. NASA also listed the mission span as 220 days in space and confirmed Pettit served as a flight engineer for Expeditions 71 and 72.
