Soyuz TMA-01M launched from Baikonur Site 1/5 on October 7, 2010 UTC as the first crewed flight of the upgraded Soyuz TMA-M spacecraft. The mission carried Roscosmos commander Aleksandr Kaleri, Roscosmos flight engineer Oleg Skripochka, and NASA flight engineer Scott Kelly to the International Space Station, where they joined Expedition 25 and continued into Expedition 26. Kelly later commanded Expedition 26, while Kaleri and Skripochka supported station operations, Russian-segment maintenance, visiting vehicles, and research. Soyuz TMA-01M undocked from the station's Poisk module on March 16, 2011 UTC and landed northeast of Arkalyk, Kazakhstan, returning the same three crew members after about 159 days in space.
