Soyuz TMA-05M launched from Baikonur Site 1/5 on July 15, 2012 UTC and docked with the International Space Station on July 17. The spacecraft carried Roscosmos commander Yuri Malenchenko, NASA flight engineer Sunita Williams, and JAXA flight engineer Akihiko Hoshide to the station for Expeditions 32 and 33. The crew supported station research, visiting vehicles, maintenance, and EVA activity before returning to Earth aboard the same Soyuz on November 19, 2012, landing near Arkalyk, Kazakhstan.
