Soyuz TMA-06M launched from Baikonur Site 31/6 on October 23, 2012 UTC and docked with the International Space Station's Poisk module on October 25. The spacecraft carried Roscosmos commander Oleg Novitsky, Roscosmos flight engineer Yevgeni Tarelkin, and NASA flight engineer Kevin Ford to the station for Expeditions 33 and 34. Ford later commanded Expedition 34 after the Soyuz TMA-05M crew departed, while Novitsky and Tarelkin continued as station flight engineers. The crew supported station research, visiting-vehicle operations, and station maintenance before returning aboard Soyuz TMA-06M on March 16, 2013, landing northeast of Arkalyk, Kazakhstan after a one-day delay caused by poor weather in the landing area.
