Soyuz TMA-10 launched from Baikonur Site 1/5 on April 7, 2007 and docked with the International Space Station on April 9. The flight carried Oleg Kotov, Fyodor Yurchikhin, and U.S. spaceflight participant Charles Simonyi; Kotov and Yurchikhin joined the Expedition 15 crew while Simonyi returned to Earth later that month on Soyuz TMA-9. Soyuz TMA-10 remained attached to the station as the expedition return spacecraft and landed in Kazakhstan on October 21, 2007 with Kotov, Yurchikhin, and Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor after a ballistic descent that placed the capsule west of its intended landing area.
