Soyuz TMA-11

Soyuz TMA-11 launched from Baikonur Site 1/5 on October 10, 2007, carrying Roscosmos commander Yuri Malenchenko, NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson, and Malaysian spaceflight participant Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor to the International Space Station. Whitson and Malenchenko joined Expedition 16, while Sheikh Muszaphar made Malaysia's first human spaceflight during a short Angkasawan visit. The Soyuz TMA-11 spacecraft remained docked to the station and later returned Malenchenko, Whitson, and Yi So-yeon to Kazakhstan on April 19, 2008 after a ballistic descent.
