Soyuz TMA-18M launched from Baikonur Site 1/5 on September 2, 2015 UTC with Roscosmos commander Sergey Volkov, ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen, and Kazakh cosmonaut Aydyn Aimbetov. Mogensen and Aimbetov completed short-duration visiting missions and returned on Soyuz TMA-16M on September 12, 2015. Soyuz TMA-18M remained docked to the International Space Station and later landed on March 2, 2016 with Volkov, Mikhail Kornienko, and Scott Kelly at the end of Expedition 46 and the one-year mission for Kelly and Kornienko.
