SpaceX Crew-9

SpaceX Crew-9 was NASA's ninth operational Commercial Crew rotation to the International Space Station. The mission launched Nick Hague and Aleksandr Gorbunov aboard Crew Dragon on September 28, 2024, and docked with the station the next day to support Expedition 72 operations. NASA later assigned Starliner crew members Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore to return on Crew-9, so the mission's landing crew became Hague, Gorbunov, Williams, and Wilmore. Crew-9 operated during an unusually complex station rotation period. Hague commanded the Dragon flight, Gorbunov flew as a mission specialist and Expedition 72 flight engineer, and Williams and Wilmore continued their ISS work before joining Crew-9 for return. The Dragon undocked from the station and splashed down off the coast of Florida on March 18, 2025, closing Gorbunov's first spaceflight, Hague's second, and the extended Starliner-to-Dragon return for Williams and Wilmore.
