STS-113 was a Space Shuttle Endeavour mission to the International Space Station and the station's 11A assembly flight. Endeavour launched from Launch Complex 39A on November 23, 2002, carrying the Expedition 6 crew and the Port 1 integrated truss segment. During the docked mission, the Shuttle and station crews installed and activated the P1 truss, moved equipment and supplies between the vehicles, and performed three EVAs to connect and outfit the new hardware. Endeavour undocked after handing over the station to Expedition 6 and returned the Expedition 5 crew to Kennedy Space Center on December 7.
