STS-129 was Space Shuttle Atlantis' ULF3 logistics mission to the International Space Station. Atlantis carried Express Logistics Carriers 1 and 2 and nearly 30,000 pounds of external replacement hardware, including station spares needed for power, thermal-control, and attitude-control systems. The flight launched with six Shuttle crew members: commander Charlie Hobaugh, pilot Barry Wilmore, and mission specialists Leland Melvin, Mike Foreman, Robert Satcher, and Randy Bresnik. After Atlantis docked with the station, Expedition 21 flight engineer Nicole Stott joined the Shuttle crew for return to Earth, making STS-129 the final Shuttle crew-rotation flight to or from the ISS. The mission included three successful spacewalks by Foreman, Satcher, and Bresnik to install and configure external equipment. Atlantis launched from Kennedy Space Center's Launch Complex 39A on November 16, 2009 and landed at Kennedy's Shuttle Landing Facility on November 27, 2009.
