STS-66
STS-66 was Atlantis' November 1994 Space Shuttle mission carrying the third Atmospheric Laboratory for Applications and Science payload, ATLAS-3. The six-person crew studied solar energy output, the chemistry and dynamics of Earth's middle atmosphere, and links between solar variation and atmospheric change. Atlantis also deployed the joint NASA-DARA CRISTA-SPAS platform for more than eight days of free flight, then retrieved it before landing. The mission launched from Kennedy Space Center's Launch Complex 39B on November 3 and landed at Edwards Air Force Base on November 14.
