The flight carried the SPACEHAB-4 research module, Spartan 207 with the Inflatable Antenna Experiment, and the Technology Experiments for Advancing Missions in Space suite. Canadian Space Agency astronaut Marc Garneau supported Canadian experiments and retrieved Spartan with the Canadarm.
