- Discovery launched from Kennedy Space Center Launch Pad 39B on May 27, 1999 and landed on Runway 15 at Kennedy's Shuttle Landing Facility on June 6, 1999 after 9 days, 19 hours, 13 minutes, and 57 seconds. The crew docked with the ISS on May 29, transferred 3,567 pounds of equipment and supplies, repaired station communications and battery-controller hardware, and returned hardware to Earth. Tamara Jernigan and Daniel Barry performed a 7 hour, 55 minute spacewalk to install the ORU Transfer Device, relocate Strela boom components, and stage tools and restraints for future assembly work.
