Aero Club del Uruguay

Aero Club del Uruguay is a nonprofit civil-aviation association and flight-training organization based at Ángel S. Adami Airport in Montevideo. Its institutional roots reach to the Centro Nacional de Aviación founded in 1913, which adopted the present Aero Club del Uruguay name in 1939. The club promotes the practice, teaching, and public understanding of flight; trains private pilots; provides recurrent and introductory aviation experiences; supports aircraft and technical workshops; maintains club aircraft; and carries forward one of Uruguay's foundational civil-aviation institutions with an emphasis on safety and practical airmanship.
