The Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI) is India's national professional society for aeronautics, aviation, aerospace science, and aircraft engineering, founded on 17 November 1948 and registered as a society. Its organization-level mission advances and disseminates aerospace knowledge, elevates the aeronautical profession, and supports high standards of education, research, safety, quality, training, and policy dialogue. AeSI's current national network has 18 branches, CFD and Design divisions, more than 15,000 members drawn from aerospace research, manufacturing, civil aviation, defence, universities, and space organizations, and 69 corporate members. It operates professional lectures, workshops, seminars, an Associate Membership Examination, a library, the quarterly Journal of Aerospace Sciences & Technologies, a monthly newsletter, student competitions, scholarships, and annual awards for fundamental and applied aviation and aerospace research. Current first-party activity includes the 74th Annual General Meeting and 2026 member notices. Its separately governed branches, member companies, agencies, universities, and the 2026 AGM gathering remain distinct resources.
