The Agencia Espacial Civil Ecuatoriana (EXA) is Ecuador's independent, nongovernmental civil space organization. Founded in Guayaquil in 2007, it develops and operates the Ecuadorian Civil Space Program across astronautics, satellite engineering, microgravity research, planetary and space science, atmospheric monitoring, and public education. EXA built and operated Ecuador's NEE-01 Pegaso and NEE-02 Krysaor satellites, and its current first-party program surface continues to document missions, scientific production, space-technology projects, astronautics training, and operational services.
