AMSAT SA

AMSAT SA is a South African nonprofit amateur-satellite organization and a specialist affiliate of the South African Radio League. Previously known as the Southern African Amateur Radio Satellite Association and SA AMSAT, it operates as a nonprofit company registered in 2016. The member organization promotes practical experimentation in satellite and weak-signal communications, publishes technical and operational information, coordinates with AMSAT groups internationally, develops radio and ground-segment hardware, supports South African satellite projects, and runs an annual space symposium and other educational activities.
