Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences (AUASS)

The Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences (AUASS) is a regional scientific organization connecting professional and amateur astronomers, researchers, institutions, and societies across the Arab world. Established in Amman in 1998, it coordinates research and education in astronomy, space science, and atmospheric science; organizes regional conferences and training; supports publications, translation, and common scientific terminology; preserves Arab and Islamic astronomical heritage; and builds cooperation with universities and international scientific bodies.
