Asian Association on Remote Sensing (AARS)

The Asian Association on Remote Sensing (AARS) is an international association promoting satellite remote sensing, Earth observation, and geospatial applications across the Asia-Pacific region. Established in 1981, it enables national and regional member bodies to exchange technical information, cooperate on research and practical applications, develop professional networks, and build remote-sensing capacity. Its principal activity is the annual Asian Conference on Remote Sensing, accompanied by a general conference, proceedings, awards, and other scientific and educational activities connecting researchers, engineers, public institutions, industry, and students.
