The Asociación de Controladores de Tránsito Aéreo del Uruguay (ACTAU) is Uruguay's national technical-professional association for air traffic controllers. Founded on 26 October 1958 and based in Montevideo, it represents controllers working across the country's towers, approach services, and area-control operations. ACTAU promotes operational safety and efficiency, professional competence and continuing training, appropriate staffing and working conditions, technical cooperation, and the collective interests of controllers. It maintains dialogue with Uruguay's aviation and labour authorities, publishes technical positions on navigation and landing systems, provides legal and technical support to members, and represents the profession internationally through the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers' Associations. The association has approximately one hundred members and operates from a permanent office on Avenida 18 de Julio.
