The Australasian Society of Aerospace Medicine (ASAM) is a professional learned society advancing aerospace medicine, human performance, and flight safety across Australasia. Its roots date to a 1949 aviation-medicine group in Melbourne. Today it supports clinicians and researchers through scientific meetings, clinical education, research and student awards, an academic journal, professional advocacy, and an independent body of expert opinion on the health and performance of people who work or travel in aviation and space environments.
