Bureau of Meteorology

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology is Australia’s national meteorological organization and a durable civil-space partner. It operates a national satellite ground-station network and uses data from more than 40 geostationary and polar-orbiting satellites for weather, ocean, climate, and environmental services. Through the Australian Spaceflight Weather Service and Australian Space Weather Forecasting Centre, it supports launch and return safety, on-orbit operations, satellite anomaly attribution, space situational and domain awareness, and space-weather warnings for satellites, communications, aviation, and critical infrastructure.
