Canadian Association of Rocketry / Association canadienne de fuséonautique (CAR/ACF)

The Canadian Association of Rocketry / Association canadienne de fuséonautique (CAR/ACF) is Canada's national volunteer association for safe, legal, non-commercial amateur aerospace and rocketry. Established in 1965 and represented today by an active federal not-for-profit corporation, it promotes model, high-power, advanced, and experimental rocketry through nationally affiliated clubs, launch-site and event sanctioning, liability insurance, technical and safety rules, motor testing, range-safety and rocket-inspector programs, and four progressive high-power certification levels. CAR/ACF liaises with Transport Canada, Natural Resources Canada, and other public bodies on airspace, dangerous-goods, and propellant requirements; supports education, competition, records, and scientific and technical development; and publishes the bilingual Earthrise magazine. Its operational national headquarters is in Edmonton, while its federal registered office is in Calgary.
