The Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS) is a Florida 501(c)(3) nonprofit, non-government organization that manages the International Space Station U.S. National Laboratory under a NASA cooperative agreement. Since 2011 it has brokered and supported non-NASA microgravity research, in-space production, technology development, education, and workforce programs, giving commercial, academic, and government investigators access to the orbital laboratory. CASIS maintains research-portfolio, proposal, sponsored-program, scientific-review, and partnership pathways that expand the low-Earth-orbit research ecosystem and its public benefit.
