Centre for Basic Space Science and Astronomy (CBSS)

The Centre for Basic Space Science and Astronomy (CBSS) is a NASRDA activity centre at Nsukka dedicated to basic space-science and astronomy research, education, instrumentation, and public outreach. Its work spans astronomy, astrophysics, solar-terrestrial and atmospheric physics, rocketry, space-science technology, and the design and fabrication of observatory instruments; the centre also operates radio-astronomy capability and builds Nigerian research capacity.
