Chinese Astronomical Society

The Chinese Astronomical Society is China's nationwide nonprofit learned society for astronomy, founded in Beijing on 30 October 1922. It brings together astronomy professionals and related institutions to advance astronomical science through academic exchange, international cooperation, research and educational publishing, scientific advice and standards work, professional recognition, continuing education, and public outreach. The society is China's national member organization in the International Astronomical Union.
