The European Centre for Space Law (ECSL) is a member-based European space-law centre established in 1989 under the auspices of the European Space Agency and governed by a Charter. Its General Meeting, Board, and Secretariat bring together legal professionals, academics, students, administrations, agencies, industry, and law firms to promote research, education, and interdisciplinary exchange on national, European, and international space law. ECSL supports national sections and points of contact, workshops, colloquia, practitioner forums, publications, bursaries, and the IISL/ECSL symposium; current 2026 activity includes the Practitioners’ Forum and ESA/ECSL Executive Course.
