European Space Security and Education Centre (ESEC)

ESA’s European Space Security and Education Centre (ESEC) is a Belgian centre with a security and ground-station site at Redu and a separate ESEC-Galaxia site in Transinne. Redu hosts ESA cyber-security capabilities, Proba mission-control infrastructure, the Space Weather Data Centre, GNSS-related activities and ground-station services; ESA says the site is fenced, guarded 24/7 and fully access-controlled. ESEC-Galaxia hosts ESA Education activities, including teacher and student training and CubeSat-support facilities. The ESA source does not describe Redu as a walk-in visitor attraction; confirm programme and access arrangements before travel.
