European Telecommunications Satellite Organization

The European Telecommunications Satellite Organization (EUTELSAT IGO) is an intergovernmental organization comprising 49 Member States. It maintains the rights to use radio frequencies and orbital locations assigned collectively to the Member States and oversees Eutelsat S.A. to ensure compliance with the EUTELSAT Amended Convention. Its Secretariat is the organization’s permanent body and participates in global satellite and telecommunications communities.
