The German Aerospace Center (DLR), formally Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e. V., is Germany’s national aeronautics and space research centre. Its research and development spans aeronautics, space, energy, transport, and security, supporting national and international missions, technologies, operations, and scientific cooperation. DLR also carries out space research and technology work while the separate German Space Agency at DLR manages Germany’s national space programme.
